Goldsboro is home to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Seymour Johnson Air Force Base is home to the 4th Fighter Wing, which houses an amazing fleet of F-15 E's. The base and the community share a warm relationship and many of our military families decide to make Goldsboro their home upon retiring.

Wayne County residents enjoy close proximity to many vacation spots. The beaches of North Carolina are less than two hours to the east, and ski resorts are less than four hours to the west. A four hour drive away choose from Washington DC, or Myrtle Beach, SC.

The cost of living is moderate and reasonably priced homes are available for newcomers moving to the area.
